Stephen Tobler received his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah where he was awarded the National AIA Scholarship. He spent 4 year subsequent to graduate school in New York City working for such notable firms as Richard Meier & Partners and Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects. In 1993 he opened hi own office in Jackson, Wyoming because of a strong interest in western regionlists architectural issues. His practice in Jackson spanned fourteen years producing numerous works and receiving a number of design awards. In 2007 he closed Tobler Duncker Architects with a successful transition of ownership to pursue architectural goals of producing work of expanded scale and scope as well as interests in Academia. Stephen now resides in Portland, Oregon, has a focused practice, participates as an Adjunt at the University of Oregon school of Allied Arts and Architecture and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Utah, School of Architecture.
