  • Hello, my name is Michael Donnelly. I am currently attending the eighth grade at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School in Salt Lake City. One of my assignments is to make at least a 12-page research report. I decided to base mine off of how Walt Disney and his company have changed animation. I chose this because I like to make flip books and stop motion. Because I have to do an interview, my teacher recommended that I should look at the University of Utah media and film arts website. I went to the faculty and happened to click on your name. I read that you had worked at Walt Disney. If it is possible, could I interview you for this project? All the time that it will take is about thirty minutes. 03/07/2019 - 03/07/2019

  • Daily Utah Chronicle: Video Game field yields artistic entertainment. ...One of the things that makes video games such a special medium when it comes to the realm of artistic expression and audience reception is that they are, by their very nature, interactive experiences. They require the input and participation of the audience to deliver their messages. This is something that professor of computer science Craig Caldwell said is important when it comes to viewing video games as expressions of creativity. “It’s a collaborative form,” Caldwell said. “Generally, the author or the artist tends to create it and you have a passive viewer that may interact at a lower level. But here you’ve got the audience actually in partnership with the author, completing that experience. So that changes the nature of it, because of how participatory the audience is with that.” ..... 02/03/2012. http://www.dailyutahchronicle.com/?p=2564773
