Biography

Natalie Allen is an Assistant Professor (clinical) in the Division of Health Systems and Community Based Care at the University of Utah College of Nursing. She completed her BSN at Weber State University and pursued and completed her DNP from the University of Utah. Dr. Allen holds two ANCC board certifications, Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Allen's background includes over 35 years of nursing experience. Dr. Allen practices as a nurse practitioner for the Department of Health and Human Services. She has expertise in the care of children with special health care needs. Dr. Allen is passionate about rural health care and underserved populations. She loves mentoring students and is committed to life-long learning.

Dr. Allen has taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs.  She has a special interest in teaching physical assessment, leadership, and clinical practicums.
