Lin is a doctoral candidate and a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. Her previous educational backgrounds include BA in Tourism Administration from Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) and a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism from University of Utah.

With her background in cross-cultural communication and international tourism, and more recent involvement in teaching and learning experiences, Lin is interested in a fusion of topics and methodologies from tourism and a number of other disciplines including psychology, consumer behaviour and marketing in tourism, sociology, cultural studies, and anthropology.  Her dissertation is on tourist mindful experience.
