George T. Marie holds degrees from Drake University, the University of Iowa, and the University of Utah. His music has been performed at numerous festivals, including the Oregon Bach Festivals Composers' Symposium, the International Double Reed Society Conference, and the Prospectives International Digital Arts Festival (2009 and 2012). 

Dr. Marie currently teaches throughout the undergraduate music curriculum at the University of Utah, specifically upper level courses in 20th-century music and undergraduate form and analysis. 

A forthcoming publication will be featured in the Proceedings from the Symosium on Emerging Technology Trends in Higher Education.
