Research Statement

Dr. Rohit Aggarwal is a Professor of Information Systems at the University of Utah, where his research is dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance software development and content creation. His efforts to improve developer productivity include the development of prompting techniques and a critical examination of conversational AI systems like ChatGPT, assessing their impact on developers’ efficiency. Additionally, Dr. Aggarwal is focused on benchmarking writing quality for marketing content. By creating a synthetic dataset for training large language models (LLMs), his project aims to establish benchmarks that evaluate marketing content across various dimensions, such as engagement and readability.
 
Dr. Aggarwal’s research also delves into the use of unique selling propositions (USPs) in advertising, utilizing LLMs and computer vision (CV) techniques to extract and analyze USP features from ads and landing pages. Moreover, he is deeply involved in designing AI agents for business process improvement and human augmentation, with goals to streamline operations and enhance human capabilities within organizations.
