Biography

Tony Passey is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Marketing in the David Eccles School of Business.  He received a M.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics, both from the University of Utah.  Tony has an extensive background in digital marketing strategy and analytics.  Outside of teaching he provides mentoring and consulting currently in online campaign strategy and optimization.

Tony has been the founder of several companies in a variety of verticals including manufacturing, retail, tech and professional services.  

His courses are a mixutre of of digital marketing strategy, digital channel mastery, and post campaign analysis through analytics and predictive AI.  Tony uses a mix of projects and assignments to teach students digital marketing concepts.  

Tony Passey is active as a consultant and guest speaker.  He curently focuses most of his time on teaching and reseaching new marketing technologies leveraging AI.

Other Teaching Activities

Tony volunteers in many other teaching capacities providing instruction to entreprenuers and local businesses.  Such teaching activites include lecturing at in programs through the Mill at SLCC, Marketing Hacknight, and providing continuing education to various local and national organizations.  

In the community Tony provides specific instruction on topics such as Pay-per-click advertising on Google and Bing, SEO strategies for businesses, and best practices in web design UX and UI.
