Biography

Marc Porter is a faculty member of the department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah and the Director of its Nano Institute of Utah.  He received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio State University.  Research interests include fundamental issues in the design, characterization and apllications of chemical, physical and biological phenomena at liquid-solid interfaces, along with the development of nanomaterial strategies for infectious disease and cancer diagnostics.
