Teaching Philosophy

My courses tend to require students to reflect deeply on their personal values and attitudes about subject matter. I believe that students learn best through enthusiastic engagement in the form of discussion and writing.

Courses I Teach

  • FP MD 6600 - Social Context of Public Health
In this course we examine the interplay of multiple factors that work toward health and disease in human populations. We focus on environmental, economic, social, and psychological dimensions. We develop a basic understanding of behavioral change theory.
