I am broadly interested in advancing understanding of cloud processes to improve weather and climate prediction. A focus is improving representation of deep convective (e.g., thunderstorms) and shallow clouds in multi-scale models using measurements from aircraft, radar, and satellite. These observations are combined with high-resolution modeling to better understand complex cloud processes and life cycles that include interactions with their surrounding environment and aerosol particles.
