This section of Therapeutics is to provide students with a basic knowledge and assessment of pediatric dosing considerations, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics issues of children, and pharmacotherapeutics and pathophysiology of the more common disorders that apply to the pediatric population. -

Pediatric Pharmacotherapy
The course is designed for students interested in developing and fostering their knowledge and assessment of childhood diseases and inpatient/ambulatory care pharmacotherapy with a focus on the pharmacotherapeutics and pathophysiology of the more common disorders that apply to the pediatric population. Pediatric clinical pharmacists from Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital will teach this course. Course content will include a discussion of pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of the pediatric patient, pediatric immunizations, different pediatric age groups, pediatric nutrition, and management of common pediatric conditions.
