IMPROVING PATIENT LIFESTYLE CHANGE THROUGH IMPLEMENTING RECOMMENDED UNIVERSAL LIPID SCREENING AMONG 9- TO 12- YEAR-OLD CHILDREN USING A NON-FASTING POINT-OF-CARE LIPID SCREEN: A QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CONCLUSIONS: This QIP demonstrated the ability to improve ULS among 9- to 12-year-old children through a set of interventions that guided patients to make lifestyle changes. The importance of point-of-care lipid screening and patient education was described.

Biography
I am currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, specialty track director of the pediatric nurse practitioner program (new cohort starting fall 2020) and a clinical pediatric nurse practitioner. I am one of the instructors for Pediatric Assessment, Common Pediatric Problems, and Complex Pediatric Problems. A little about my education: Graduated from Westminster College in 2009 with my BS-Nursing, graduated from the University of Colorado with my MS-PNP in 2013, and DNP in 2019. I am a provider in the Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Team at Primary Children's Hospital and volunteer as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Maliheh Free Clinic. In the primary care world my special interests are obesity and nutrition, mental health, pulmonary disease, and helping to educate families on common childhood issues and well being.
