Biography

I am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), past student board member of the Health Education Association of Utah, Current board member of the Wasatch Front Health Sciences Partnership, and representative on the College of Health Diversity and Inclusion Committee.  I received my Bachelors degree in Health Promotion and Education with an emphasis in Community Health and minor in Nutrition in addition to a Masters degree in Health Promotion and Education with an emphasis in weight management, body image and eating disorders and graduate certificate in global health from the University of Utah.  I have conducted research related to nutrition globally, worked with refugees to improve their nutrition status and have provided nutrition consultations to cardiac rehab patients.  I am currently working as a senior academic advisor, and instructor for Health Promotion and Education at the University of Utah.
