Biography

 Carolyn Scheese received her BSN from Weber State University, and her MS and DNP from the University of Utah where she also earned a Certificate in Informatics. Her interest is in human factors and human systems interaction.

She began teaching at the University of Utah, College of Nursing in 2007.  Carolyn has served as the Operations Director Simulation Learning Center and the Director of the RN-BS Program.  She teaches in the undergraduate baccalaureate program where she loves to teach students in the traditional program and to help RN’s complete their degree in the RN to BS program.

She has 23 years’ experience at a trauma one facility in the Operating Room working in a variety of roles including: scrub, circulator, Transplant Team Coordinator, Unit Educator, and as Program Director for the Intermountain Healthcare Surgical Technology Program and RN Perioperative Program for 11 years. She also had the opportunity to go on two missions with Operation Smile to Manizales, Colombia, where they performed cleft lip and palate repairs.
