Teaching Philosophy

Professional Philosophy Statement

I am a nurse educator that is passionate about combining nursing and education together to help the future generations change their mental, emotional, and behavioral functioning. By being a nurse educator, I help mold the minds of students to enjoy nursing and to share my passion and knowledge by effectively applying all of the learning theories which are social, behavioral, cognitive, psychodynamic, humanistic, and neuropsychology. I implement my philosophy by having an open door policy, clear communication, organized objectives, and show the students that I want them to succeed while accommodating to different learning styles, levels of aptitude and interest for the topic. My goal is to always be improving and pushing my limits to stay motivated and knowledgeable of new technologies or new evidence-based healthcare that I can apply in my teaching.

Mission Statement

As a nurse educator I mold the minds of the future generations by developing their mental, emotional, and behavioral functioning through sharing my passion, experience, and knowledge for nursing. By applying different learning theories, having clear communication, and accommodating for different learning styles my students will be successful in becoming a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse. I seek to always challenge myself while still holding true to the values of honesty, respect, and excellence.
