Research Statement

I am a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. My background includes extensive training in neuropsychological testing, longitudinal data analysis and structural neuroimaging. Over the past 18 years, first as a graduate student, then postdoctoral researcher and eventual co-Investigator, I helped establish and eventually manage a longitudinal clinical and imaging study of autistic individuals and typical control participants, resulting in up to 6 timepoints of data. I currently oversee the cognitive and clinical data collection across two sites for an Autism Center of Excellence (ACE) Network project and co-lead the Data Collection Core. This project follows a prospective longitudinal cohort of typically developing and autistic adults and will examine cognitive, clinical, physical and mental health measures in relation to brain imaging and biological aging. My long-term research goals are to continue to examine neurocognitive changes in health-related conditions, aging and neurodevelopmental conditions throughout the lifespan.
