Research Statement

Dr. Brinton’s primary research focus is on mechanisms of human HDL metabolism in vivo and in vitro, including the effects of diet, exercise, lipid medications, estrogen, and insulin resistance. He also has research interests in HDL function and composition, in lipid metabolism and the measurement and prevention of atherosclerosis, and in obesity and insulin resistance.
