Biography

 

Alina received her B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science (2007) and M.S. in Nutrition (emphasis in sport dietetics, 2009) from the University of Utah. She passed the national R.D. exam in October 2009, and became a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics in February 2015. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Alina has long been interested in diet and exercise. She enjoys cooking and baking, working out and running, and spending time with her two young daughters.

Alina believes a balanced lifestyle includes eating an eclectic diet and participating in regular physical activity, and that small changes can make a big difference over time. She currently works as a registered dietitian for the University of Utah at PEAK Health and Fitness and teaches undergraduate nutrition courses for the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology.
