  • M.Ed., Adult Learning and Global Change, University of British Columbia
  • B.A., International Studies , University of Utah

Lisa is a native of beautiful Vancouver, B.C., Canada (and also largely St. George, UT). She graduated from the University of Utah in 2008 with her B.A. in International Studies and a minor in German, during which time she studied abroad in Kiel, Germany. She later lived in Santiago, Chile, for five weeks, where she volunteered and began to learn Spanish.

She has been advising since graduation, with experience in the department of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education and at Salt Lake Community College. She has been the advisor for World Languages and Cultures for over five years, and has helped the department transition through chairs, major curriculum changes, adding an extra advisor, and a full departmental name change. In 2015 she completed her M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Global Change from the University of British Columbia.

When she’s not in the office, she can be found catching up on TV, running, figure skating, road and mountain cycling, or cheering on Utah football and gymnastics. Her one claim to fame is successfully landing a front tuck in gymnastics class (that's ESSF 170 if you're interested!)
