- Our discovery about waste derived LEDs was highlighted in front page of University of Utah website. Here are few words from news release: "Most Christmas lights, DVD players, televisions and flashlights have one thing in common: they are made with light emitting diodes (LEDs). LEDs are widely used for a variety of applications and have been a popular, more efficient alternative to fluorescent and incandescent bulbs for the past few decades. Two University of Utah researchers have now found a way to create LEDs from food and beverage waste. In addition to utilizing food and beverage waste that would otherwise decompose and be of no use, this development can also reduce potentially harmful waste from LEDs generally made from toxic elements." The related news was published by more than 80 agencies/web-sources/radio channel/print media.

- One of my researches: An investigation of rapidly synthesized CZTS nanocrystals was highly acclaimed by world scientific and engineering news community. An old domestic microwave oven was utilized to synthesize CZTS nanocrystals in short duration of 18 minutes. These nanocrystals have great potential to be used for fabrication of solar cells and other sensing device. This research has been widespread through more than 75 news websites and media channels including discovery news and scienceDaily. 05/06/2013.
