Biography

I was born in the French speaking part of Switzerland where I grew and did all my studies. After my B.A., I followed a European program of study in Protestant Theology at the University of Neuchatel. While writing my dissertation, I had the opportunity to spend one year at Princeton Theological Seminary and two years in Paris. Before my academic career, I pursued the ordination-track in the Swiss Reformed Church from which I received ordination in 1990. I worked as a minister for a few years in Switzerland and France. I moved to Salt Lake City in 2004 and started teaching at the University of Utah. I like to travel as much as I can and I usually spend some time back in Europe every year; lately, I have also been traveling in South and Central America and the Middle East. And I love to explore the parks in Utah in the fall!
