Biography

Adjunct Professor of Law Meredith Krannich is a graduate of the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.  Prior to returning to the College of Law as an Adjunct Professor, she practiced intellectual property and commercial litigation at the international law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP, in Chicago.  She represented biotechnology and medical device manufacturers in multi-patent infringement lawsuits relating to technology ranging from DNA microarrays to peritoneal dialysis devices.  She also represented clients in copyright and trademark infringement actions as well as a range of other business disputes, and enjoyed an active pro bono practice, serving as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem for disabled adults. 

Professor Krannich graduated with Honors from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England with a degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics.  She returned to the United States after living abroad for three years and joined a team from the University of California, Irvine to research cell signaling in colon cancer.  Their research was published in the journal Nature Medicine.  While attending the S.J. Quinney College of Law, Professor Krannich was a member of the 2004 National Moot Court team that placed first in the Region XI competition and advanced to New York City to compete in the national finals.

Professor Krannich currently teaches Lawyering Skills, Arbitration and Advanced Negotiation and Mediation.  In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor, she is involved with an active meditation practice in Salt Lake City, Utah.
