Research Statement

I remain most interested in how recreation programs and experiences can be designed and implemented to best afford developmental experiences for youth.  My approach to research is generally to bridge theory and practice. I believe Parks, Recreation, and Tourism is an applied discipline and that our research should have practical implications. I generally use quantitative techniques or mixed methods.
