Understanding Cases, Statutes & Legislation
In this class, you will gain an understanding of the role the legislative, executive, and judicial branches play in making laws, interpreting statutes and regulations, and resolving legal disputes. You should leave the course with an understanding of the difference between factual and legal issues, how statutes and judicial opinions are structured, how to read and interpret statutes and judicial opinions, the effect of statutes and judicial opinions, as well as the process for making laws and the tools for interpreting them.
