Research Statement

Dr. Farhang has general interest in various applications of signal processing to communications. In the past he has done research in the general area of adaptive filters (analysis and design of algorithms), acoustic echo cancellation and active noise control, and signal processing techniques in magnetic and optical recording. His current research activities include Cognitive Radio, Multicarrier Communications, CDMA detection techniques, and MIMO communications.
