Biography

C. Kai Medina-Martinez serves as the director of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center at the University of Utah, is licensed clinical social worker and is an instructor in the Graduate School of Social Work at the University. In 2010 Kai was the recipient of the Pete Suazo Community Justice Award in the area of Individual and Community Empowerment. A first generation college graduate, Kai received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, and is a doctoral student in Education Leadership and Policy.
