Research Summary

Incident stroke carries a ~20-40% risk of recurrent stroke within 10 years, and recurrent stroke often results in new or additional disability. Diabetes and obesity are also highly prevalent in stroke survivors, and increase risk for recurrent stroke and secondary conditions. My research examines health behavior interventions for managing, preventing, and delaying onset of chronic conditions and recurrent stroke in stroke survivors.
