  • At the request of Dean Dianne Harris, AVP Kathryn Stockton, and SVP Ruth Watkins, I led an experimental pilot program in Fall 2016: a semester-long mentoring workshop for newly hired tenure-track faculty in the College of Humanities. There were 11 new faculty members involved, and we met every Monday afternoon (for 3 hours) for the whole semester. It involved a lot of work (and we invented the program as we went along), but it was very successful and very satisfying. The University is now considering whether to adopt this pilot program in other units of the University. Workshop leader, 08/2016 - 12/2016. University service.
