Sherri Evershed is an Assistant Professor (Clnical) of Nursing in the undergraduate and graduate program. She attended the University of Utah for a BS in Community Health Education (1976), the University of Portland and Westminster College for a bachelor's degree in nursing (1977). She received an MSPH in epidemiology and occupational health nursing from the University of Utah in 1987. She has been a nurse in a wide variety of settings. Her clinical work has primarily been in pediatrics and health education. She spent a year in American Samoa working with the Center's for Disease Control (CDC) on a Hepatitis B research and teaching project. She taught at Westminster School of Nursing prior to coming to the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2007. She received her DNP from the University of Utah College of Nursing (2012). She is involved with educating students and faculty about health literacy.
