Biography

Dr. Hardin is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing. In 2000, Dr. Hardin received her PhD from the University of Washington. She received her MN in Psychosocial Nursing from the University of Washington in 1995 and her BSN from the University of Northern Colorado in 1983.

Career Highlights

Dr. Hardin is primarily a qualitative researcher.  Her research is focused on bodies, health and how cultural constructions shape how people experience their bodies.  She is interested in the determinants of recovery from eating disorders.  Her scholarship focuses on ways in which the body is culturally inscripted and read.  Dr. Hardin teaches across programs in the College of Nursing and also teaches for the Honors College.  She is interested in developing new pedogogies in nursing education that will be responsive to the changing population demographics both locally and nationally.
