  • I was nominated to the College Council where I am one of two career line faculty representatives. We meet throughout the year on different topics and concerns that need to be discussed before faculty meetings are held and votes are taken.   • Attended the international trip with approximately 40 Business Scholars to Paris/Amsterdam. We spent a week going to many historical sites as well as participating in Business case study projects and tours of their industry practices. We went to Stryker and to Heineken.   • NAWBO U, committee - I have been a committee member of the NAWBO U project since its inception. We meet regularly and hold a yearly conference to bring together students and working professionals. We have now started a scholarship as well. Member, 2005 - present. College service.
  • Beta Alpha Psi, Faculty Advisor - I am currently the faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting organization here at the University of Utah. We have seen tremendous growth and wonderful opportunities for the students involved. Community Partnership

  • Beta Alpha Psi does a huge number of service projects where we make fleece blankets and donate them to Primary Children's Hospital. We have donate hundreds of blankets and continue to do these service projects where we interact with downtown professionals and the students as well. 01/01/2021 - 12/31/2021
  • We still continue our relationship with PMMC and put on U Saves Week for students throughout the University to help them become more aware of financial literacy and to take steps to create this for themselves. 01/01/2018 - 12/31/2018
  • We again worked with the Personal Money Management Center and held our U Saves Week. This is a week long event where we bring in renowned speakers who teach about financial literacy topics. We have hundreds of students who participate and benefit from this event. 01/02/2017 - 03/20/2017

Outreach

  • Parent Teacher Association, Veteran's Day Assembly - This year, I was able to have students at Oak Hills Elementary enter essays about what it means to be an American or to enter a story about a Veteran that they have come in contact with. The winners read their essays at the assembly in front of their peers, parents, and invited veterans from the community. We also had patriotic songs that were sung by one of the classes as well as a DVD presenation that was quite touching. It was a phenomenal success! 2006 - present
