Dr. Simonsen is an Associate Professor and the Annette Poulson Cumming Presidential Endowed Chair in Women’s & Reproductive Health at the University of Utah College of Nursing. Her background in public health and nurse midwifery has influenced her research focus on preventive women’s health, with specific emphases on promoting health behavior change among reproductive-age women and approaches to help women space pregnancies and optimize preconception and interconception health.
