Dr. Susan Hall is an Assistant Professor in the Health Systems and Community Based Care Division. Her Doctorate of Nursing Practice focused on evidence-based practice of prenatal care for first generation Hispanic Women in urban areas. Her foci are women health, vulnerable populations, community health, interprofessional practice, telemedicine, and nursing education. Dr. Hall has been at the University of Utah: College of Nursing since 2006.
She is from Montana. She has practiced as an RN in Montana, Louisiana, Washington state and Utah. Susan has practiced as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in Utah. Dr. Hall has practiced as a Women’s Health NP in Utah. She is married and has two sons.

The focus of her practice and research has been on the improvement the prenatal care of Hispanic women. She has also focused on increasing interdisciplinary education in health care for nursing and primary care nurse practitioner students. Dr. Hall is currently working to increase graduate students interprofessional communication skills and the use of telehealth to improve quality of health care.
