My research interests are focused on the space between the bench and the bedside. This space occupies the rapid translation of evidence based medicine, into programs and policy. This research also focuses on defining, educating, and delivering precision medicine.

Biography
As a cancer survivor, health scientist, and medical entrepreneur, I am a former member of the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Public Health Advisory Board, Clinical Director of the American Medical Athletic Association's Clinical Advisory Board, and past Chair of a White House Federal Interagency Health Council. On these issues, I have worked with the White House, the US Department of Health and Human Services, the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I have held positions as: principal investigator, program manager, research associate, health scientist, chief science officer, and chief executive officer. I have developed evidence-based policy and programs in cancer prevention, chronic disease, surveillance, and precision and personalized medicine. I have managed complex budgets, worked with and managed internationally renowned research staff and scientists, published and presented in peer review journals and national media outlets.
