  • MHA 6550 - Marketing for Healthcare Professionals
    Application of the tools and approaches of marketing to healthcare with an emphasis on innovations in healthcare delivery. Focus is on patient behavior in the context of decisions about their health and healthcare
  • MHA 6800 - Management and Administration in Healthcare
    This is a team-taught course introducing students to the healthcare industry. Its focus is on practical management practices for organizational governance, leadership, management. It emphasizes emotional intelligence as a necessary attribute in such roles.
  • MHA 6801 - Healthcare Industry Players
    This course is intended to give students an appreciation of the unique position and challenges of different types of healthcare organizations including veterans hospitals, childrens hospitals, academic medical centers, and physicians' practices. It introduces some of the challenges facing industry players in an environment of healthcare reform.
  • MHA 6804 - Principle-Based Leadership in Healthcare
    This team-taught course focuses on the application of principle-based leadership to healthcare cases. Students establish and apply their personal values in the context of healthcare cases.
  • MHA 6900 - Healthcare Administrative Internship
    This is an applied course in which students are placed in healthcare organizations and complete 3 months working under the direction of a preceptor to complete one or more projects for the organization.
