Courses I Teach

  • GEO 5760 - Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Processes
Purpose: To learn how to think and communicate like a sedimentary geologist within the wider context of geology and science. This course provides the fundamental groundwork and essential knowledge for many subdisciplines of Earth science. Specifically, you will learn about various concepts and tools of sedimentary geology (grains and rock types, processes, environments, controls, applications) that will help you in your professional career and/or will give you a lifelong knowledge of interpreting the landscape around you wherever you go!
  • GEO 5920-005 - Countertop Geology
Decipher and document the fascinating geologic stories captured in different commercial rock slabs to enhance the teaching component of our Sutton (FASB) building displays. Become a countertop expert!
