BIO
I've been a professor in Geology & Geophysics for thirty years. I've mentored twelve Ph.D. recipients who are professors at universities in the U.S., China, and Ecuador, as well as in industry and government research agencies. I've mentored thirty four M.S. students who work in industry and government in institutions across the U.S.. I initiated and served as founding director the ICP-mass spectrometry and light scattering facilities in Geology and Geophysics. I've been awarded more than $5,000,000 in research support, and I've published more than 120 papers in top-tier journals.
