You Han Bae, PhD, is a distinguished professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Utah. He is an investigator of the Huntsman Cancer Institute and a member of the Experimental Therapeutics Program.

Dr. Bae’s research interests include selective targeting of drugs to acidic extracellular environment, which often surrounds cancer cells. His lab also studies self-assembled super pH-sensitive nanoparticles as a potential drug delivery system for treating cancers which are multidrug resistant. He is also interested in developing oral delivery systems for protein biologics, genetic materials as well as most injectable small molecule drugs

Bae received a PhD from and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Utah.
