Research Summary

My current research is focused on the upstream effects where transient interactions of platelets and substrates lead to platelet "priming" for the activation downstream. My lab showed that one of the main reasons for poor material's hemocompatibility is due to such upstream priming that prepares platelets for the downstream adhesion.
