Teaching Philosophy

There is no greater honor than to be called a “teacher”.  In order to teach a person must be committed to the never ending process of learning which then creates awareness and vulnerability that is experienced from both sides of the classroom.   This duality of the learning process asks for acceptance, facilitation of human growth, and the contribution to a greater good.  To have acceptance one must respect that which others bring into the learning environment; their belief systems, culture, and learning style.  Facilitating human growth far exceeds the challenge of teaching the content of required material.  It includes creating safe surroundings where the person can openly express their thoughts and opinions and is encouraged to evaluate their learning experience at all times.    As a teacher you are given the platform to profess and with that is the responsibility to commit to the highest level of learning so that learning can be used, to contribute to the overall good of humankind.
