Research Statement
Dr. Bliss's research interests are in general and liberal education, undergraduate learning communities, the role of the humanities in medical and pre-medical education, and modern and postmodern Anglophone literatures, particularly the work of Australian writers.

I research and write on modern and contemporary Australian fiction and the history of racial policy in Australia. I co-teach an Honors course on the comparative racial policies and histories of Australia and South Africa.
