I recently completed two books: River Republc: The Fall and Rise of America's Rivers (Columbia University Press, 2012), and The Most Fundamental Right: Contrasting Perspectives on the Voting Rights Act, Ed. (Indiana University Press, 2012).  I am currently working on a book about dam safety.
