I have worked for PRONTO international in India, from the inception of their program there. This work involves teaching Nurse mentors that are training community midwives in rural Bihar, India. The training is focused on dealing with Maternal and Neonatal emergencies in low resource settings. I have taught in India 5 times, over the past 7 years.
I began working for PRONTO international as a midwifery expert in Simulation in 2012, in Nairobi, Kenya. I was able to work with the team there, which included doctors and nurses, and public health officials that are involved in Maternal/Child health in that city.
I taught a one week workshop in February, 2019, with a team of educators from PRONTO international. We taught a high fidelity, low tech Simulation technique/program for doctors and nurses that work in L&D units in this country, and teach in midwifery and nursing schools.
