Biography

Dr.Geiger has been  with the U of Utah, Division of Nutrition (Formerly the Division of Foods and Nutrition) since 1981.    As a research associate professor and past division director, she has written numerous journal articles and contributed to textbooks regarding food labeling, functional foods, heart disease and health claims.  She won the prestigious Mary P. Huddleson Award for consumer research on foods labeming, which included tested graphic formats on food products. 

As Director, Divison of Foods an Nutrition, she was known for integrating research with academics in a Coordinated Master's Program that emphasizes research, industry-related marketing strategies and communications skills.
