DAVAR KHOSHNEVISAN

D. Khoshnevisan received his PhD from UC Berkeley in 1989 in Statistics. He then joined the faculty at MIT for one year and the faculty of the University of Washington for three years, before coming as Assistant Professor to the University of Utah Department of Mathematics in 1993. D. Khoshnevisan has been been an Honorary Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, visiting member of the Mathematics Research Institute at UC Berkeley and the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics at UCSB, Simons Visiting Professor at the Oberwolfach Institute in Germany, and Invited Professor at Ecole Polytechnique de Lausanne, the University of Paris and the University of Lille. He is a 2020 Fellow of the American Mathematical Society, 2015 Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), an IMS Medallion Lecturer (2018), and Professor of Mathematics (2001-2024) and Chair of the Mathematics (2017-2023) at the University of Utah. In 2024 he was appointed as Distinguished Professor at the University of Utah.
