    I have traveled in Europe widely and I am currently working on the economic crisis in Europe. I am currently organizing a Summer Institute and an international conference on the European economic crisis ( to take place in Krakow, Poland) .

    I was born and raised in Turkey. In 2011, I organized an international workshop and an international conference in Istanbul.I attended another conference there. I am the founder of a network of economists called GEM- Turkiye. We work on a gendered analyses of the Turkish economy.

    I have taught economic history and development of the Middle East and North Africa for many years. I am the co-founder of GEM- MENA, which is the regional group of GEM- IWG. GEM- MENA will be holding a Summer Institute gender, macroeconomics and international economics in the MENA region in 2013.
