    I was born and raised in Turkey. In 2011, I organized an international workshop and an international conference in Istanbul.I attended another conference there. I am the founder of a network of economists called GEM- Turkiye. We work on a gendered analyses of the Turkish economy.
  • Europe
    I have traveled in Europe widely and I am currently working on the economic crisis in Europe. I am currently organizing a Summer Institute and an international conference on the European economic crisis ( to take place in Krakow, Poland) .
  • Central America
    In 1983, as part of an editorial collective, I co-edited a book Revolution in Central America. I continue to be interested in Central America.
