Biography

I grew up in Iowa where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Exercise Science from Simpson College.
I completed the Coordinated Master’s Program and earned my Master of Science in Nutrition & Integrative Physiology from
the University of Utah. As a registered dietitian for the Utah Center for Community Nutrition, my focus is on community outreach,
helping individuals and families overcome barriers to healthy eating. As an instructor, my aim is to inspire students to pursue
their passions and create opportunities for experiential learning. My areas of interest include diabetes prevention and nutrition
education, global learning, and diversity in dietetics. As an avid soccer and rugby player, I also have a particular interest in
sports nutrition. In my spare time, I like to stay active outdoors by playing sports, hiking, and skiing.
