  • So What if Chat GPT Wrote it? As generative AI models like ChatGPT become increasingly sophisticated, the lines between human-generated content and AI-generated content begin to blur. This presents an array of opportunities — from automating mundane tasks to personalising user experiences. However, it is not without its problems. The power of AI to generate content brings with it concerns about authenticity, misinformation, and shifting ethical boundaries. This session aims to unpack the capabilities of generative AI, delve into its practical applications, and critically examine the broader implications for our society. Participants will explore the transformative potential of these technologies while also contemplating the responsibilities and obstacles that accompany such advancements. 1. How are industries harnessing the capabilities of generative AI to innovate and drive growth, and what does this mean for the future of jobs and tasks? 2. With AI now able to produce content, from articles to artworks, what implications does this have for concepts like originality, creativity, and copyright? 3. In the era of "fake news," how do we address and mitigate concerns about AI-generated misinformation or deep fakes? Panel, Presented, 11/05/2023.
