Biography
Brian Cadman earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 2000 and his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Oregon in 2005. Before joining the faculty at the University of Utah, Professor Cadman was on the faculty at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Professor Cadman's research focuses on the use and implications of accounting information in compensation as well as the role of external monitors and other governance mechanisms. He has current research projects on stock option compensation for top executives, the role of venture capitalists in contract design at the initial public offering, and more recently, the role of compensation consultants in the design of executive compensation. Dr. Cadman teaches managerial accounting at the undergraduate and masters levels.
